| The Town of Thornton's Police Department is available to the public 18 hours daily with 24 hour dispatch service. Our working hours are contingent upon the public demand. The Dispatch Center is located in North Haverhill and has contractually dispatched for Thornton since 1980. The Department provides services to approximately 1,600 full-time residents but must also stand ready to assist the influx of transient population which may reach 10,000 people during peak seasons. We attempt to respond to calls in prompt manner and provide professional service. Our daily goal is to make Thornton a safe an memorable place to live or visit in the scenic wonderland of the North Country.
